Client Testimonials

Grant Newton – Groot Constantia Marketing Manager and Cape Town Tourism board member says:
“It has been over 5 years since I was first introduced to and started working with Carmen Lerm and her team at West Coast Way. What an incredible journey we’ve shared. To say Carmen and Nadia are passionate about their work is an understatement, but it’s the passion that they have for a client’s brand and media relations that still astounds me.

I was so impressed with the media and marketing work that they did for West Coast Way that I asked them to expand and continue their services for Groot Constantia, namely social media, press releases, media invitations. From here Carmen and Nadia Lerm took responsibility for the design and management of launches, tagline and content development, public relations, signage, media planning and promotional material.”

Claus Tworeck – founder of City Sightseeing South Africa:
“City Sightseeing Cape Town has enjoyed a fruitful working relationship with Carmen Lerm and her team since 2004 to 2015. They assisted our company in re-branding from the then Cape Town Explorer to the current International City Sightseeing brand.

Through consistent press releases and creating excellent media relationships, they have enabled us to achieve our vision of creating a world-class South African brand.

Carmen Lerm and her team execute their work in a professional manner and create value propositions that engage our local and international target market through online and offline communication tools. Creative development and IT implementation of our website, with an online booking and payment system, kids club, newsletters were developed by them. Their team act as implementers of all our marketing objectives – the focus being on creating a world-class local brand experience.

I have no hesitation in recommending Carmen Lerm and Nadia Lerm as they are very easy to deal with and in fact always leave me with the impression of co-owning the goals of our business.”

Why West Coast Way Was Founded

Our story starts with a vision by a group of West Coast business people who wanted economic growth for the Cape West Coast. Indego Consulting provides consulting services specialising in decentralisation, LED & rural development and human settlement. In 2013, Indego consulted for SANParks on a tourism development plan for the Cape West Coast and West Coast Biodiversity Corridor. Objectives in regards to tourism development and marketing of the region was set and a decision was made to call for interested parties to set up an independent, self-reliant and self-sustaining destination marketing company. As a result, in 2014, Carmen Lerm founded West Coast Way.

West Coast Way was established in October 2014 as a bespoke Cape West Coast Marketing business to attract tourists – locals & visitors – to the many attractions, activities and accommodation offerings throughout the year, hereby stimulating economic growth and conservation awareness via the effective development and marketing of the West Coast Way Culture Route, Foodie, Wild, Tractor and Berg Routes. West Coast Way is a unique and exciting collection of themed Routes that encourages economic growth and potential through Cape West Coast Marketing in the Cape West Coast, South Africa.
