The Friends of the BCA invite you to join them on the 6 km Blaauwberg Two Hills Walk. The route is not open to the public so this is a special opportunity to see the Reserve fauna and flora, the site where the Battle of Blaauwberg took place, the Cape Flats Sand Plain Fynbos Restoration projects and other developments in the Blaauwberg Nature Reserve.
We will meet at 07h30 at the Morningstar entrance to the Blaauwberg Reserve on the Eastern side of Blaauwberg Hill (just off the N7). The walk will finish by latest 12h30. Bring a hat, sunscreen lotion and wear comfortable clothes and shoes. You are welcome to bring something to eat and drink for a picnic on Blaauwberg Hill.
The event is free for Friends of BCA members. Cost is R30 for non-members. The walk is limited to 25 people, so booking is essential. More detailed directions and information will be sent to responders.
