Description:

The Table Bay and Blaauwberg nature reserves will team up to host entertaining and educational winter holiday programmes during the July school holidays over a period of two weeks, from Monday 4 July to Thursday 14 July 2016. The programme is aimed at children between the ages of eight and 12 years.  Bookings will be open from 27 to 30 June 2016. Due to limited space, bookings must be made to avoid disappointment.

The programme will teach children about the life of dragonflies and damselflies, ancient dinosaurs, local owls, birds of prey, bird eggs, bees, and interesting facts about sharks, to name a few. The programme will also include activities such as a guided coastal dune walk through the beautiful endangered Cape Flats dune strandveld, as well as the popular “Hack-n-Hike” at Blaauwberg Hill. Children will be able to help the environment by removing some invasive alien plants while they enjoy the lovely views of Cape Town from the Hill.
