This recital – a highlight of the Taste of Darling celebrations – features the exciting soprano Nombulelo Yende ( Pretty Yende’s sister) and the sensational bass-baritone Bongani Kubheka with a program of popular arias, songs and lieder. Photo attached.
They are accompanied on the piano by the amazing Dr Lisa Engelbrecht, known by opera lovers as musical director of Opera in Darling’s alla breve productions of Mozart’s Don Giovanni and the Abduction from the Seraglio.
Tickets are R 120 ( for pensioners and students R 80 ) – available at the door.
