After browsing through the market, visitors will be relaxing under the trees while tucking into their delicious eats from the market. Groote Post’s award-winning restaurant, Hilda’s Kitchen, will be open as usual, but booking is essential.
The Christmas Market will present a perfect playground for children who will love the rolling lawns and popular playground as well as the tractor rides, face painting and sand-art to name a few of the activities that will be available. To top it all Father Christmas will be handing out sweets to all the children and The Bop Boppers www.bopboppers.co.za will be presenting Children’s Christmas Show.
Music is always a key part of the Market. Highly-acclaimed Cape Town musician, Francois Haasbroek, will be entertaining the market-goers with folk and acoustic rock-styled covers, popular favourites, golden oldies and classic songs that never go out of style. Directions
Follow the R27, the West Coast Road towards Langebaan. Turn right onto the Darling Hills Road opposite Grotto Bay turnoff. After 10 km, turn right to the Groote Post cellar. Alternatively, take the R307 out of Darling towards Cape Town and turn off at the Darling Hills Road. After 7km turn left to the Groote Post Cellar.
