Groote Post Spring Country Market

DON’T MISS GROOTE POST’S SPRING MARKET ON SUNDAY 29TH SEPTEMBER

With the West Coast spring flowers ablaze in bloom

Find Groote Post on the West Coast Way #TractorRoute

With the West Coast spring flowers ablaze in bloom and summer knocking on the door, the Pentz family invites you to join them at their Spring Market on Sunday 29th September.

The September market will be overflowing with the essence of spring, with all the market stalls colorfully adorned with flowers and showcasing their finest spring fare, and the seating area decorated with spring flowers from the farm. It will be the ideal time to soak up the “soft balmy sunshine and the flower-scented air”, according to Groote Post’s very own ‘Grande Dame of Cape Cuisine’, Hildagonda Duckitt, who so loved the West Coast spring splendor with its “magnificent tapestry of flowers”. Guests can expect delicious and beautiful country offerings including artisan foods, arts, and crafts, homeware, clothing, décor, gifts, jewelry, accessories, toys, fresh produce and more. Local is always lekker at Groote Post, with a divine selection of Darling gourmet produce including Weskus Worswa, Darling Honey, Burger Fellas, Darling Sweet, Nellies Homemade Pies, the popular Darling Brew and of course Groote Post’s well-loved wines. A very popular addition will be Groote Post’s Bubbly and Oyster stand.

The Spring Market will present a perfect playground for children who will love the rolling lawns and popular playgrounds as well as the tractor rides, guided horse rides and more.

Music is always a key part of the Market. Highly acclaimed Cape Town musician, Francois Haasbroek, will be entertaining the market-goers with folk and acoustic rock-styled covers, popular favorites, golden oldies and classic songs that never go out of style. For more information go to:www.francoishaasbroek.com.

Groote Post’s award-winning restaurant, Hilda’s Kitchen, will be open as usual, but please note that booking is essential.

The Groote Post Market is an outing for the whole family including one’s furry children, but dogs must please be kept on a leash at all times.

There are 3 Lucky Draws at every market – at 12h30, 13h30 and 14h30. The winners will each receive a hamper with products from the market and wine from Groote Post, but you must be at the draw to win. The 3 winners from each market will go towards a BIG DRAW at the end of the season. The lucky winner will win a 2x night stay in Yzerfontein.

Please note the overall winner must be at the last market in April 2020 to win the big prize.
