Groote Post is a historic 18th-century farm on the Cape’s West Coast where the unique aspects and cool climatic conditions of the Darling Hills yield superlative fruit and excellent wines. Groote Post Wine is renowned around the world.
The winery is situated in a lovely green valley threaded by the Klawer River, with luxurious lawns and an original, beautifully restored Cape Dutch homestead.

Groote Post is re-opening its popular country markets for the new season. First up is the August Country Market on Sunday 25th August (from 10h00 until 15h00), followed by monthly markets on 29 September, 27 October (Country Run), 24 November and 15 December (Christmas Market).

The terrace in front of Hilda’s Kitchen and adjacent to the Cellar will be brimming with market stalls offering delicious and beautiful country offerings including artisan foods, arts, and crafts, homeware, clothing, décor, gifts, jewelry, accessories, toys, fresh produce and more. Local is always lekker at Groote Post, with a divine selection of Darling gourmet produce including Weskus Worswa, Darling Honey, Burger Fellas, Darling Sweet, Nellies Homemade Pies, the popular Darling Brew and of course Groote Post’s well-loved wines.

Join us on the last Sunday of every month for the Groote Post Country Market.

Guests can expect delectable country offerings including artisan foods, arts, and crafts, as well as home-ware and décor. All Groote Post’s well-loved wines will be available for tasting and purchase by the glass, bottle or case.

There will be 3 Lucky Draws at 12h30, 13h30 and 14h30. The winners will each receive a hamper with products from the market and wine from Groote Post, but you must be at the draw to win.
