Darling Brew Tasteroom & Brewery is a celebrated microbrewery in Darling that produces some of the best craft beers in South Africa and is the first carbon neutral brewery in Africa. 9. Hop On An Island At Lambert’s Bay
Bird Island is a tiny island just 100 meters from the mainland and accessed via a causeway from the fishing harbor. (Tip: here is one of our favourite restaurants: book your stop at Isabellas 027 432 1177)
Thousands of blue-eyed Cape Gannets use this as their nesting site, one of only 6 breeding sites in the world for these extremely attractive birds. These birds are incredible to watch, either from the rocky beach or the double story bird hide/viewing building.
A museum, shop and research center are also open to visitors to the island. A small entrance fee is charged.

10. Get To Know San Art At Vensterklip
At Vensterklip they like you to have fun. Vensterklip Guest Farm can be found on the West Coast Way’s wild route of South Africa, just 220km north of Cape Town and 5km from the renowned surf spot, Elands Bay. We know getting up early may not be the first thing you want to do on vacation, but taking in the day’s first light over the ocean from the Elands Bay Cave filled with San (Bushmen) Rock Art is a spiritually enriching experience.
