Saldanha Bay

The Baths

The Baths is a hot spring resort nestled on a citrus farm near Citrusdal, Western Cape. There are both cold and hot pools, with the waters reaching 43˚C at the source. Other features include mountain rock pools, spa baths, a tennis court, trampoline, pool table, and kiddies’ playground. The MacGregor’s Restaurant has an a la carte menu and the shop sells all the basics for self-catering. Accommodation is available in chalets, flats, and caravan and camping sites. Day visits can be arranged.

Accommodation includes 16 chalets and 19 flats with self-contained kitchens and braai areas. In addition to the hot and cold water swimming pools and hot mineral spring water baths, relaxing pastimes include tennis, trampoline, pool table, small playground for children, hiking trails, mountain biking and bird watching.

Daisy Darling is perfectly located just under 1h30 hour from Cape Town. Conveniently situated on the quiet end of Darling’s Main Road. They are within easy walking distance of many of the attractions that make Darling such a special place to visit.

Leentjiesklip Holiday Resort

Situated between Langebaan and Club Mykonos overlooking the lagoon, Leentjiesklip boasts spectacular sunsets. Each set of sites has direct access to the beach which is perfect for the kids as they can spend all day running up and down to the beach while you can keep an eye on them.

Caravan Park

Located just 50m away from the pristine blue flag 16 Mile beach behind a dune for less windy camping, this well-kept park is ideally situated. Most of the sites are sizeable and every site has water, electricity and its own braai area.

There are four clean ablution blocks, each with bath and shower with hot and cold running water as well as laundry facilities on-site. Restaurants and shops are all within easy walking distance of the park.

Ou Skip Holiday Resort

Situated only 40 minutes from Cape Town, Ou Skip is one of the largest caravan parks in the Western Cape and offers 206 well-kept tent and caravan sites as well as 12 self-catering chalets.

Tietiesbaai Camp Site

Situated in the Cape Columbine Nature reserve, Tietiesbaai is a sheltered beach cove flanked by protective granite boulders. The campsite is right next to the ocean and offers 60 caravan or tent seafront sites with communal ablution facilities and showers. In keeping with conservation, there is no electricity but solar panels do supply hot water.

The Beach Camp

Set on the shoreline of the wild Atlantic Ocean in the Cape Columbine Nature Reserve, The Beach Camp offers a very unique camping option. Pre-pitched comfortable bedded Twin Tents and A-frame tents kitted out with all the necessary camping gear would tempt even those who don’t enjoy camping.

There is an equipped communal kitchen tent with all the necessary utensils for cooking over an open fire, plus a communal cooler-box for those who don’t have their own.

Set in a nature reserve, no pets or electronic music are allowed and they have no electricity – by choice – which is the only thing that could be considered a drawback by some.
