On the last Sunday of August, Groote Post Country Market will again be a hive of activity, brimming with delectable and beautiful country offerings. Guests can expect artisan foods, arts and crafts, homeware and décor, and of course, Groote Post’s well-loved wines as well as loads of kiddies’ activities.

Local will always be lekker, with a divine selection of Darling gourmet produce including Darling Mushrooms, Weskus Worswa, Darling Pomegranate Products, Darling Olives, Darling Brew and more.

Being the Spring Market, don’t miss the Guided Flower Tractor Rides – bookings on market day only.

Also new, there will be 3 Lucky Draws at every market from now on – at 12h30, 13h30 and 14h30. The winners will each receive a hamper with products from the market and wine from Groote Post, but you must be at the draw to win.

Entertainment at Groote Post Country Market:

Highly-acclaimed, Jimm Harisson Project is sure to keep you entertained. The Jimm Harisson Project is an alter-rock-acoustic-blues band from the infamous Belville Rock City. The members include Jimm Harisson, Righard ‘Die Keyser’ Keyser, and Johan van Riebeeck. The three members of the project combine different influences into an undefinable genre that speaks to the heart.

After browsing through the market, visitors will be able to relax under the trees while tucking into their delicious eats from the market. Groote Post’s award-winning restaurant, Hilda’s Kitchen, will be open as usual, but please note that booking is essential.

The kids, as always, will be kept busy with a wide variety of kiddies’ activities – tractor rides, face-painting, guided horse rides and, of course, the popular playground. Although pets are welcome – all dogs must be on a leash at all times.
