The second Darling Scarecrow Festival 2018 takes place from the
26 – 28 October. Last year Darling was invaded by more than 60 scarecrows. Can we top this number in 2018? This year’s theme for the Darling Scarecrow Festival is “Farm Life”.
All Darlingers and friends from the Swartland and the West Coast are invited to participate in this year’s festival. Be it as a creator of a scarecrow or as a visitor enjoying the atmosphere and the food experience.
Involve your family, your schoolmates, your sports team, church groups, friends at work or any friends. Whoever said that a scarecrow has to be just a stuffed shirt and a straw hat? Why not be creative and make something over the top? With a little imagination, random objects or recycled junk you can create a cool character.
