This year say goodbye to the usual end of year event and say hello Darling!

Newly launched Darling Wine & Hops Trip a must-do experience.

The end of the year is fast approaching and for many organisations the inevitable year end function is looming. This year, a new and exciting option has been launched by Which Way Trips which makes the usual run of the mill ideas seem boring by comparison.

The Darling Wine & Hops Trip is a newly launched excursion that entails a day out in Darling – tasting wine, sampling beer, visiting this beautiful little town’s top attractions and enjoying delicious food which is sourced locally.

A huge perk of the Darling Wine & Hops experience is that guests are fully chauffeured in a Which Way Trips mini bus for the entire day – so no driving is necessary.

Departing from Eden on the Bay in Blouberg (where parking is free), or from any central point in Cape Town at 09h00, the first stop on the route is Darling Cellars for a tour – hear the story of Sir Charles Henry Darling and discover the history behind the cellars – and a bit of wine tasting or course.

From there, Which Way Trips will transfer guests to the Darling Museum for a glimpse back in time to the early years of this picturesque village, before then being transported to Darling Brew’s new Tasteroom & Brewery for some beer tasting and a delicious lunch made from locally sourced fresh produce.

“This truly does make for a fun and memorable end-of-year office function,” says Carmen Lerm, founder of West Coast Way and Which Way Trips, who have conceptualised and launched the Darling Wine & Hops Trip in collaboration with local stakeholders.

“The Darling Wine & Hops Trip offers a wonderful day out of the office – and away from the rat race – where a group of co-workers can relax and spend time connecting with each other on a social level, whilst at the same time seeing and learning new things and tasting delicious locally crafted wine, beer and food.”

Not just for office functions

“This Darling experience is also available to those who want to enjoy it on their own or with friends and family,” explains Lerm.
“Which Way Trips will be running trips and shuttles throughout December – and will allow time for guests who have booked with Evita se Perron to attend the show and have lunch here. Other guests who are not booked for Evita se Perron will be taken for lunch and a visit to Darling Brew’s new brewery.”

“Bespoke trips are also available, which are custom-made according to the customers’ requirements or wishes. For example, other well-known wine estates can be incorporated in the itinerary, such as Ormonde, Groote Post and Cloof.”
