Betty’s, as she is known by the locals, is where you will find the Harold Porter National Botanical Gardens with forested paths that meander deep into the kloof, past waterfalls, streams and the natural fynbos of the area. A tea room and nursery make this a great family attraction and a variety of hikes and trails can be accessed from the gardens. On the beachfront at Stony Point, you will be educated and enchanted by the breeding colony of African Penguins in the Stony Point Nature Reserve.
Surrounded by the Kleinmond Coastal and Mountain Reserve, Kleinmond attracts hikers and walkers, with easy coastal paths suitable for all ages. Harbour Road is the most popular place in town, and you will find an array of restaurants, gift shops and art galleries here. Continue to the very end of the road to the slipway and walk around the marked paths and cliffs for outstanding views. Get a dose of salty ocean magic at the Blue Flag beach or discover the fynbos, spot whales and explore on horseback with the equestrian centre in the town. Golfers will love the luxurious Arabella Golf course and the challenging 9 holes set in the kloof at the local Kleinmond Golf Club.
